Thermal imaging cameras

Principle of operation

Any object with a temperature above freezing emits detectable radiation. A thermal imaging camera uses algorithms to convert radiation into a color scale and adjust the temperature based on the scale.

Application

Thermal imaging cameras can detect temperature at the skin level with high accuracy. More and more often they are used to scan temperature, among others in offices, railway stations, offices and shops. The solution is an important element supporting the fight against COVID-19.

Benefits

1. Highly effective: One second is enough to detect the temperature, thus it is possible to measure many people in a very short time

2. Safety: Thermal imaging cameras do not require contact with the examined person, the measurement can be performed by the camera from a distance of 1 to 6 meters.

Elements

Thermal imaging camera, tripod, PoE switch, “Black Body” calibrator (optional), cables, software, connection to the operator’s station

Advantages of the solution

With an efficiency of ± 0.3 ℃, the solution minimizes the risk of false alarms,

In addition to the image of the temperature scale from the cameras, the live software shows the numerical value of the body temperature of people passing by,

Cameras with hybrid functionality – visual and thermal image,

“Fusion” function – overlaying a thermal image on a visual image,

Built-in infrared LEDs with a range of up to 40 m

The software is intuitive to use and offers a wide range of configuration options and warnings about the detection of people with exceeded temperature.

Audible warning

Built-in sound module can automatically signal the alarm, thus informing the operator about the detection of a person with elevated temperature

Unique algorithm, extensive experience

Thanks to the use of an advanced algorithm for analysis and the data collected from an increasing number of implementations around the world, a very high efficiency of the solution has been achieved

Possibility of integration

The solution is a perfect complement to the security system and can be easily integrated with e.g. video monitoring, access control and alarm systems.
